Detlefsen (Eagen, Minn./Minnesota Virtual Academy) recorded a 1-under 71 on Monday at nearby Sylvania Country Club outside Toledo to become one of two final local qualifiers, joining former Kent State golfer Jennifer Ha who shot a 70.

At the age of 10 she started playing golf and two years later, recorded 13 consecutive wins in junior events in California, becoming the top ranked female junior golfer in the state.
She attended IMG Pendleton School, meantime winning 19 national tournaments during her amateur career.
